River Rafting (Forsränningen) 2026

The River Rafting (Forsränningen) is an annually recurring event organized by the Uppsala Union of Engineering and Science Students. It is a cherished and long-awaited tradition that has been ongoing since 1975, attracting thousands of visitors from all over Sweden.

It all started as a bet between two friends, and today the event consists partly of a buildup in the form of a 7-day festival and, of course, the concluding rafting down the Fyris River on Walpurgis Eve itself. On that day, over a hundred rafts, built by Uppsala residents and students, are sent down the river.

The event starts at 10 AM and continues until after lunch!
