Forsränningen (River Rafting) 2024

120 rafts in the Fyris River, 480 brave participants taking on the challenge, and a nationwide live broadcast. What began as a wager between two adventurous students in 1975 has now grown into one of Sweden’s largest Valborg celebrations and Sweden’s largest water-based student event. At 10:00 a.m. on Valborg’s morning, the starting gun fires for the Forsränningen, organized by the Uppsala University of Technology and Science Student Union. The courageous participants start at Eddaspången and aim to finish at Islandsfallet, unless they’ve capsized in the rapids of the Fyris River before then. Learn more at forsranningen.utn.se.
