Saturday 27/4 It’s time to show off your favorite pajamas, and celebrate the coming of spring, with us at Smålands nation. You’ll be pampered with the best brunch experience Smålands can offer (and more). Come to us to enjoy amazing food, be cozy in your pajamas, and meet many amazing brunchers! The dress code is, according to ancient tradition, pajamas. Or smart casual for those who like to dress up for their Saturday brunches. You register by sending an email to 1q@smalands.nu with food-and drinking preferences, allergies and request for company. Last day to sign up is Sunday 21/4.

Time flies and we are quickly approaching Valborg! At GH, we continue with our ice cream theme, because what is more fitting to celebrate spring and summer?

This ”ticket” makes so you can skip the queue to get in to GHlassborg.

Tickets are sold by 3Q and has to be bought at the nation. You are allowed to buy two tickets/ person assuming you can provide nation cards for everyone that you’re buying for. When tickets are sold to members, all persons you buy for need to be a member of GH.

It is possible to enter the event if you don’t have a ticket and pay when entering. The entrance fee will be

100 kr for non members.

These will be the entrance fees during both Kvalborg and Valborg.

Outdoor lounge:
We open the gates already at 13.00, for an outdoor lounge with a festival feeling in the courtyard that will continue well into the night! To celebrate this day, we go all in! Get started in our courtyard lounge, take a burger at Orvars Krog or eat festival food in Majs Café and try a beverage from our summer bar!

What would be a Festivalborg celebration without a concluding Valborgsgask for the nation’s engaged, with a follow-up släpp?

Valborgssläpp:
After Valborgsgasken, we celebrate Valborg evening with a long-awaited Valborgssläpp! When the mood rises and the evening approaches, we open our outdoor dance floor and Diskot for the club. Vary between dance floors, karaoke and night food at Orvars Krog, for an optimal evening! It will be a Valborg to remember, which lasts until 04.00. Come and celebrate the last of April at Norrlands nation!

”Festivalborgsbandet” breaks the queue until 22.00 every night, after 22.00 the bands act as payment at the door. National card / Valborg guest card and identification are required for all events during Valborg.

We love brunch at V-Dala, it’s old! For three days during Valborg, the doors will be open for brunch on one of the finest penthouses in Uppsala. Come and start the day at V-Dala with a fantastic brunch buffet, mimosas and luxurious cocktails, a perfect way to step up Valborg. We open up both Carl Larsson and the rooftop terrace for a magnificent morning in the sun. Take the opportunity to take a break from all the Valborg-madness and enjoy some sun and relax!

At the buffet you will find scrambled eggs, bacon, tofu skagen, fruit and waffles! Of course, the bar is also open throughout the brunch, and there you will find both foam and a spring range with or without alcohol. Relax with good food and good friends a wonderful morning in the sun!

Vegan and gluten-free options are available.

Donning of the Caps at Carolina

Come to the Donning of the Caps and experience the magic atmosphere on Carolina Hill! Greet the coming of spring together with Uppsala University’s Vice-Chancellor and other enthusiastic Walpurgis Eve celebrators.

The Donning of the Caps is the main event of the Walpurgis Eve celebrations. Thousands of celebrators gather in front of Carolina Rediviva to don their student caps, all at once. At 3 o’clock sharp the Vice-Chancellor waves her hat from the balcony and is greeted by thousands of waving hats among the gathered celebrators.

15.00 The Donning of the Caps. Uppsala University’s Vice-Chancellor Anders Hagfeldt welcomes spring on the Carolina Rediviva balcony.

Walpurgis Ball at Uppsala castle

After a break of three years, it is finally time for Allmänna Sången, the oldest academic choir in Northern Europe, to once again welcome everyone back to the traditional Walpurgis Ball at Uppsala castle.

With daylight returning and hearts and minds thawing, we present to you the crown jewel of springtime celebrations. For many years the Walpurgis Ball has been organised by Allmänna Sången and open to the public to participate as part of the annual spring celebrations in Uppsala being held on the last day of April. After the dinner, Allmänna Sången will be performing live through the Swedish broadcasting service Sveriges Radio at Gunillaklockan outside of Uppsala castle; an unbroken tradition since 1830.

This is a golden opportunity to experience a real ball at the castle, with all its splendor you could imagine. You will be part of an evening of beautiful traditions, a three-course dinner, dancing to a big band and making new memories for a lifetime.

The ball is open to everyone above 18 years of age, and no student nation card is required. Let the fairy tale come true for a night and go to the Walpurgis Ball with Allmänna Sången.
