Family Activities at S:t Eriks Torg During Valborg
Welcome to a vibrant Valborg celebration with activities for the whole family – right in the heart of Uppsala! In collaboration with Uppsala Estetiska gymnaisum, class ESB23A, S:t Eriks Torg will be filled with creativity, inspiration, and artistic experiences.
Face Painting
Students from the aesthetic program will transform both children’s and adults’ faces with playful and imaginative designs—spreading joy and color to all.
Art Exhibition
Discover artwork created by the school’s talented students. The exhibition offers insight into young artists’ creative expressions, providing both inspiration and reflection.
Coloring Station
A space to sit down and create your own masterpiece. With paints and brushes available, everyone can add their personal touch to the celebration.
Next to the activities, a selection of food trucks will offer delicious treats. Take the opportunity to enjoy great food and immerse yourself in the Valborg festivities in the city center!

Naturally its the time that you got when you purchased your ticket that´s valid but you can also come earlier. Please note that your ticket expires at the endtime on your ticket. It is your responsibility to be on time! We are doing our best to make sure you get in as quickly as possible but on a day like this its inevitable that queues will form.

Walpurgisday in Uppsala is not complete without a lovely, traditional herring lunch! Together we celebrate spring with a rich summer buffet with everything from herring to pies.
When we have eaten the herring, emptied our glasses and sung the songs, we march, accompanied by a rudimentary, loud orchestra with drums and singing, to the hat-making ceremony in Carolina-backen where we, together with thousands of others, welcome spring!

At Valborg we once again set the table for a fantastic herring lunch with all the food you could wish for with an incredible view of the Fyrisån River and Uppsala, which is what you want on this particular day. After lunch we trudge to Carolinabacken for the usual donning of the hats!

By now, Kvalborg at Kalmar is synonymous with the biggest indie party of the year. Come early and take the chance to dance in Kalmar’s garden before the Roskilde vibes of the Champagnegalopp turn it into a field of mud. Stay for the evening where we will rip through more hours of democratic dancefloor than we really have any right to. In the basement you will in the usual order find DJs that we have given way too much creative freedom. Together we will scream spring into existence until we lose our fucking voices. Kollektivets Indie. Kvalborg. Kalmar Nation. No gimmicks other than the ones we already have. DO YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE AS A TEAM ON THE DEMOCRATIC DANCEFLOOR? Two people per team is the rule, and no prior experience as a DJ is needed (our fantastic in-house DJ Bysen handles that part).
