Guest Cards for visiting students

Students studying at universities or colleges in other countries (or other cities in Sweden) may buy a guest card (temporary membership) to get access to the student nations of Uppsala during valborg (Walpurgis) and their great range of activities.

Note! Only special Valborg guest cards will be valid during the celebrations in 2024.

Where do I buy my guest card?

You can purchase your guest card at Kuratorskonventet’s Guest card expedition located at the bottom floor of the student union (Uppsala studentkår) building on Övre Slottsgatan 7, as well as at all Uppsala’s student nations.

Note that it is only possible to buy guest cards on site in Uppsala. You can send a friend to buy your guest card if you cannot do it yourself. Your representative needs photocopies of a Student ID or a certificate from your home university confirming that you are studying the current semester, combined with a valid photo ID, such as a passport or driver’s license.  The photocopies must be clearly readable.

How to obtain a Valborg Guest Card

In order to obtain a Valborg Guest Card, you need:

  • a valid Student ID card
  • a valid ID-card or passport.

The Student ID card has to be valid during the entire period you want the guest card for and it needs an expiry date not longer than a year from the time of purchase. If you do not have a Student ID card you can use a certificate from your home university confirming that you are studying the current semester combined with a valid photo ID, such as passport or driver’s license.

Remember to bring your credentials to the nations as well, the Guest card alone is not enough to be let in. Entrance fees at nations may apply.

How much does a Valborg Guest Card cost?

280 kr.

You can only pay with card at Kuratorskonventet’s Guest card expedition at Övre Slottsgatan 7, as well as at all Uppsala’s student nations. We don’t do any refunds or copies, so please consider your guest card as a document of value.
