On Skvalborg (April 28), we’ll kick things off with brunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., before our big pub night with live music by Sigge and Yam Standy gets underway from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.! On Kvalborg, the celebration continues with our popular brunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Just like last year, we’re offering three different brunch packages, so no matter what you’re in the mood for, we can almost guarantee you’ll find something that suits you.

Welcome the spring together with Uppsala University’s Vice-Chancellor and other enthusiastic April 30th celebrators.The capping ceremony is the highlight of the April 30th celebrations in Uppsala. Thousands of students, locals, and visitors gather outside the university library Carolina Rediviva to put on their student caps together.
At 3:00 p.m. sharp, the Vice-Chancellor waves their student cap from the balcony and a sea of April 30th celebrators waves back. After the capping, Orphei Drängar (OD) sings spring songs on the steps of Carolina Rediviva.

Come and celebrate Valborg with us in Hospitalsträdgården! Bring the whole family and enjoy an atmospheric torchlight procession and bonfire!
Gather family, friends, and neighbors – or come by yourself and enjoy a magical spring evening as we welcome spring together in the beautiful Hospitalsträdgården.
From 6:00 PM, food and fika will be available for sale, so feel free to take the opportunity to arrive in good time and discover everything the park has to offer. Bring a game and use the open spaces, explore the artworks, the playgrounds, the boules courts, the outdoor gym, or follow the nature trail through the historical environment.
As dusk falls, there will be an atmospheric torchlight procession led by Karlsro scout group, followed by the bonfire being lit at approximately 8:45 PM – a highlight for both big and small.
